Why Stay at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort?
Caribbean Beach offers a nice balance between the affordability of Disney’s Value Resorts and the additional amenities you’ll find at a Moderate Resort.
The resort is designed around five Caribbean-inspired areas: Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique, Trinidad and Aruba, all surrounding Barefoot Bay. The colorful buildings, tropical landscaping and waterfront setting give the resort a relaxed vacation feel.
But one of the biggest reasons to stay here is transportation.
Caribbean Beach is the central hub of the Disney Skyliner system, making it particularly convenient for guests who plan to spend a lot of time at EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
Rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Most Standard and Preferred rooms accommodate up to four adults.
Current room configurations include rooms with:
- 2 Queen Beds
- 2 Queen Beds + 1 Child-Size Pull-Down Bed in some room categories
- 1 King Bed in select rooms, sleeping up to 2 adults
Rooms also include a beverage cooler, coffee maker, hair dryer, in-room safe, complimentary Wi-Fi, iron and ironing board.

Standard vs. Preferred Rooms
One thing I would definitely explain to your clients is that Caribbean Beach is a large resort, so location matters.
Preferred Rooms are located closer to Centertown, dining, shopping or transportation, according to Disney.
For a family with young children, grandparents or anyone who wants to minimize walking, paying more for a convenient location may be worthwhile.
However, there’s another consideration at Caribbean Beach that we didn’t have at the All-Stars:
Proximity to the Skyliner may be more important to some families than proximity to Old Port Royale.

Disney Skyliner Transportation
This is one of Caribbean Beach’s biggest selling points.
Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort serves as an important hub for the Disney Skyliner, providing gondola transportation to:
- EPCOT
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
The Skyliner also connects with Disney’s Riviera Resort, Pop Century and Art of Animation through the larger Skyliner network.
If EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are priorities for your vacation, Caribbean Beach can be especially convenient.
Complimentary Disney bus transportation is available for other Walt Disney World destinations.
Pools at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
This is where you really start seeing a difference between a Disney Value Resort and a Moderate.
Caribbean Beach has one feature pool and five leisure pools.
Fuentes del Morro Pool
The main Fuentes del Morro Pool is themed after a colonial Spanish fortress and features:
- Zero-entry access
- 2 waterslides
- Water cannons
- A nearby children’s shipwreck water-play area
- Spa pool
Disney currently lists the larger waterslide at 102 feet long.
That’s an important distinction from the Value Resorts we just completed, where the pools don’t have waterslides.
Leisure Pools
There are also five leisure pools, with one located in each of the resort’s villages.
These provide a quieter alternative when you don’t need all the activity of the main feature pool.
Dining at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort
Another advantage over most Value Resorts is the greater variety of dining options.
Sebastian’s Bistro
Sebastian’s Bistro is the resort’s table-service restaurant and features Caribbean-inspired family-style dining.
Centertown Market
Centertown Market is the resort’s primary quick-service restaurant, serving convenient meals in Old Port Royale.
Centertown Market Grab & Go
For something quick, you’ll find bakery items, snacks, coffee and bottled beverages.
Banana Cabana
Located near the feature pool, Banana Cabana offers drinks and food in a relaxed outdoor setting.
Spyglass Grill
Spyglass Grill offers casual dining with American food featuring a Caribbean influence and serves breakfast, lunch and dinner.
