Why Stay at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort?
All-Star Music offers an affordable way to stay in the middle of Walt Disney World while enjoying all the fun and convenience of a Disney Resort hotel.
The resort’s different sections celebrate musical genres with oversized instruments and colorful details. You’ll find areas themed to Calypso, Jazz Inn, Rock Inn, Country Fair and Broadway Hotel.
But one of the biggest reasons families choose All-Star Music is something you won’t find at the other two All-Star Resorts: Family Suites.
Rooms at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
Standard rooms at All-Star Music accommodate up to four guests, plus a child under age 3 in a crib.
Most Standard Rooms feature:
- One queen-size bed
- One queen-size table bed
- Mini-refrigerator
- Coffee maker
- Television
- Complimentary Wi-Fi
The table bed folds into the wall when not in use, providing a table and additional space during the day.
Standard vs. Preferred Rooms
All-Star Music offers both Standard and Preferred Rooms.
Preferred Rooms are located closer to Melody Hall, dining and bus transportation. If minimizing walking is important to your family, the convenience of a Preferred Room may be worth the additional cost.
Family Suites at All-Star Music
For families needing more room, All-Star Music Family Suites accommodate up to six guests.
The additional space can make a big difference for a larger family, especially when everyone is getting ready for a day in the parks.
Family Suites include features such as:
- Separate bedroom
- Two bathrooms
- Living area
- Kitchenette
- Multiple sleeping surfaces
- Accommodations for up to six guests
Having two bathrooms is one of the features I especially like for families of five or six.
All-Star Music Family Suites vs. Art of Animation Family Suites
If you need accommodations for five or six guests, I would definitely compare these two resorts.
Both All-Star Music and Art of Animation offer Family Suites, but the experience is different.
Art of Animation offers extremely immersive Disney and Pixar theming plus Disney Skyliner transportation.
All-Star Music offers a fun Disney atmosphere and bus transportation and can sometimes provide a more budget-friendly way to get the space and two bathrooms a larger family needs.
Don’t assume Art of Animation is automatically the better choice. Depending on your dates, availability and current Disney offers, it’s worth pricing both.
Pools at All-Star Music
All-Star Music has two pools.
Calypso Pool
The guitar-shaped Calypso Pool is the resort’s main feature pool and is located near the Calypso buildings and Melody Hall.
Piano Pool
The Piano Pool provides a second, generally quieter place to swim and relax.
Like the other All-Star Resorts, All-Star Music’s pools do not have waterslides.
Dining at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort
Intermission Food Court
Intermission Food Court is the resort’s primary quick-service restaurant, offering convenient options throughout the day. Disney has long designated Intermission Food Court as the resort’s quick-service dining location.
It’s convenient for grabbing breakfast before heading to the parks or getting something to eat after returning to the resort.
Singing Spirits Pool Bar
Guests can also grab a beverage near the main pool at Singing Spirits Pool Bar.
All-Star Music does not have a table-service restaurant.
Transportation at All-Star Music
Complimentary Disney bus transportation provides transportation between All-Star Music and:
- Magic Kingdom
- EPCOT
- Disney’s Hollywood Studios
- Disney’s Animal Kingdom
- Disney Springs
Unlike Pop Century and Art of Animation, All-Star Music does not have Disney Skyliner access.
If easy transportation to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios is particularly important to your family, I’d compare All-Star Music with one of Disney’s Skyliner Resorts before deciding.
