Magical Tips
-
Bring bottled water and plenty of snacks. Granola
bars, cheese and crackers, mini juice cartons and
small boxes of cereal make for great healthy snacks.
You can bring these things from home. If you can
pack bottled water and/or juice cartons in your
suitcase be sure to double or triple bag with
plastic. The room that you use up in your suitcases
for drinks and snacks will probably be filled with
your Disney souvenirs going home.
-
Bring a favorite item. A blankie or cuddly toy will
help your toddler feel safe and secure. Be sure to
have a replacement on hand, too. It will save you
some heartache should the original item get lost.
-
Watch a Disney
Movie, listen to Disney Music, read Disney
Books and even visit a Disney Store before going on
vacation. You may not know it but your child
might be afraid of characters in costumes.
-
Start and end your day early. Kids are at their best
in the morning, so take advantage of the early entry
Magical hours.
-
Stick to your routine. Eating, napping and playing
at the same time each day may be all your child
needs to feel comfortable during your touring.
-
Eat
early. Take advantage of the less crowded time
periods (less wait time) for lunch 11:00am to noon
and for dinner 4:00pm to 5:00pm
-
Be
prepared for the weather - bring extra sunscreen,
hats, an umbrella, rain ponchos, drink lots of
water.
-
Grab a map and times guide when you enter each park
for updated show times. For approximate wait times
stop by the tips board at each park:
-Magic Kingdom- At the end of Main Street U.S.A. closest to
Cinderella Caste
-EPCOT- Located in Innoventions Plaza.
-MGM Studios- At the junction of Hollywood and
Sunset Boulevards and on the Streets of America
-Animal Kingdom- Located on Discovery Island
-
Each Park has a Guest Relations location which
offers services such as separated Guest assistance,
lost and found, services for Guests with
disabilities.
-
If
you want a great spot for viewing parades or
fireworks plan to arrive well in advance of the
scheduled start time. If your child is afraid of
fireworks you may want to view them from outside the
park. Magic Kingdom fireworks can be viewed
from the beach at the Polynesian Resort.
-
Keep safety in mind. Supervise your children at all
times. No running in the parks. While on the rides
remain seated with hands, arms, feet and legs inside
the vehicle. When going on some rides (which are
posted) everyone should be in good health, free from
high blood pressure, heart, back or neck problems,
motion sickness, or other conditions that might be
aggravated by a ride. Expectant mothers should
always be cautious and read the warning signs at the
front of each attraction. If in doubt ask an
attendant.
