with this fabulous resort called Disney's Port Orleans French
Quarter. Cobblestone streets, wrought-iron railings and
flowered-filled courtyards capture the spirit of New Orleans.

Rooms accommodate four guests, plus one child under the age of 3
in a crib. Typical room is 314 square feet. The 1,008 guest
rooms are located in seven 3-story building with elevators. The
photographs on the walls were donated by Disney employees and
the captions explain their history. The exterior is painted
cream, pink, blue, purple, and yellow with designed wrought-iron
railings. Half the rooms have doors that connect to a
neighboring room. Connecting rooms are by request only.

Swimming- Doubloon Lagoon is a pool built around a sea
serpent. The serpents tongue is the slide. A shower at the
pool has an alligator's head and a large clamshell is the
centerpiece of a fountain. There is a whirlpool nearby. Port
Orleans French Quarter guests may also swim at Ol' Man Island
at Port Orleans Riverside.

Food court- Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory has a
variety of specialty foods which include gumbo, chicken with
red beans and rice, fresh beignets and other traditional
Creole cuisine. They also serve up burger, pizza, ice cream
and baked goods.

Pizza delivery- chicken wings and ice cream from 4p.m.
to midnight.

Pool bar- Mardi Grogs serves specialty drinks,
popcorn, hot dogs and ice cream during pool hours.

Lounge- Scat Cat's Club is a traditional bar with
nightly entertainment and a light menu of hors d'oeuvres.

Merchandise shop- Jackson Square Gifts and Desires has
Disney character merchandise, clothing with Port Orleans logo
and sundries.

Coin operated laundry facilities and valet service.
Transportation via motorcoach to all areas of the Walt Disney
WorldŽ Resort. The Sassagoula River Cruise goes to Port Orleans
Riverside and Downtown Disney.
