Specialized Vacation Protection Plan
Protect your investment.  A specialized vacation protection plan can be added to any Walt Disney Travel Company package plan for only $66.95 per adult and kids are included at no extra charge (ages 17 and under when all adults on a booking purchase the insurance). Put your mind at ease - the plan includes coverage for trip cancellation and interruption, travel delay, baggage delay, loss of baggage, medical expenses and new coverage outlined below.

The following are the benefits of the Vacation Protection Plan for 2008:

• Air/Land Package Cost Trip Cancellation and Interruption
  Pays covered financial losses you incur if you must cancel the trip or interrupt their travel because of a covered illness, your injury or death, one of your family members or your traveling companion.
  • $600 Travel Delay
    Pays for covered hotel accommodations and travel expenses during the delay (maximum $200 per day), if your travel is delayed over twelve (12) hours.
  • $500 Baggage Delay
    Pays for the purchase of covered essential items if the bags are delayed in transit for more than twenty-four (24) hours after arrival at the vacation destination.
  • $2000 Loss of Baggage*
    Pays for covered items lost, stolen or broken on your trip.
• $25,000 Accidental Death & Dismemberment The plan covers death and loss of limb or eyesight within 180 days of an accident during the trip.
• $10,000 Medical Expenses Pays for doctor, hospital, ambulance services, and prescription medication for initial treatment, which must be received during the trip. In addition, the plan covers expenses up to one year from date of injury or sickness and for emergency dental expenses during the trip. No daily limits or deductibles apply.
• $20,000 Emergency Medical Transportation Pays for evacuation to nearest adequate medical facility and up to $5,000 for medical escort. The plan also includes transportation of remains upon death.
• Travel Guard Assistance In addition to the new coverage included in the Vacation Protection Plan, Travel Guard provides assistance in securing a variety of services should you need them during your vacation. Below is a list of services that can be accessed by calling Travel Guard. All phone numbers and contact information will be provided with the Certificate of Insurance, which will be received with the documents. (All benefits provided are service benefits, not financial benefits. Any costs associated with benefits not purchased will be paid by the named Insured.)

Insurance coverage must be purchased no later than the final payment date or with payment of non-refundable air tickets. Pre-existing medical condition exclusion waived when insurance is purchased no later than final trip payment. Insurance is non-refundable once deposit has been received. Clients will receive a Certificate of Insurance with their final documents, which describes the benefits and exclusions in detail. Specialized Vacation Protection Plan is non-refundable from the time of deposit.
